MD iMAP Template

The newest MD iMAP Template is a configurable web mapping application that enables users to incorporate ArcGIS Online (AGOL) webmaps, REST services and map widgets. It utilizes Esri's Web AppBuilder, a HTML5/JavaScript framework, that is compatiable with multiple devices and platforms, including desktop, tablet and phone.

The template can be deployed either through ArcGIS Online (AGOL) or from a local server.

In ArcGIS Online (AGOL), users can implement the template, without the need for developer experience. The template provides wizard-based functionality to customize the resulting application. The MD iMAP Template is only accessible, via AGOL, to members of the ArcGIS Online for Maryland organizational account. To find out how to obtain an AGOL for Maryland account, please visit the ArcGIS Online for Maryland Account Request page .

The template code is also available for developers to customize and host on a local server with the Esri Web AppBuilder Developer Version. We encourage developers to download the code, share new widgets and contribute to the MD iMAP developer community at our GitHub repository. For additional support information, please visit the Esri Web AppBuilder support page.

MD iMAP Template Examples
The MD iMAP Template is currently being deployed for use by a number of organizations throughout Maryland. Examples are available to explore the various configuration and functionality changes that are possible using the MD iMAP Template. Examples are available both for applications running from AGOL and from local servers.

MD iMAP Legacy Template
The MD iMAP Legacy Template is no longer being developed or supported by the GIO Office, however documentation is still available for those developers still hosting the legacy template on their own web servers.

Please contact the GIO Office at service.desk@maryland.gov for more information.
