"I attended the Introduction to ArcGIS Desktop class and I found the training to be very beneficial. Even though I haven't taken the opportunity to spend a lot of time in ArcGIS, I am around it enough to get the general idea of how things work and understand most of the terminology used. The training worked out well for me because it allowed me to connect the dots (The light bulb in my head actually went on for the first time in a while). The training was very straight forward and flowed at a good pace, i.e. discussion of a topic followed by extensive hands on (well written) exercises. The exercises provided a wide range of real life examples of how to connect to various data sources, bring the data in, query attributes and create output (maps, reports, charts, etc.). Thanks for recommending the training." -- Jerry Einolf, Assistant Division Chief, Data Services Engineering Division, Office of Planning and Preliminary Engineering, Maryland State Highway Administration
