The industry continues to rapidly transform and the GIO Office is committed to staying on top of the latest trends and technology in the industry. Aside from data, MD iMAP provides resources that allow GIS novices and developers alike to leverage the power of geospatial and location-based information. These resources can be used out-of-the-box, or accessed by developers for building applications.

Composite Locator
The Composite Locator is a geocoding resource used to identify features by matching descriptive information (address, place name or landmark name) with geospatial data. The Composite Locator is constructed using multiple authoritative sources and provides reliable match results.

Template
The template has been updated using the Esri Web AppBuilder and Javascript/HTML5 programming languages, the template provides users and developers with a strong foundation for building mapping applications. The template is configurable and provides a standardized look and feel for use across state agencies. Plus, it is iPad compatible!

Application Development
By consuming the available MD iMAP GeoJSON, users of all skill levels can create new and useful mapping applications in a variety of programming languages, including open source options. Explore step-by-step instructions and develop your own application today.

ArcGIS Online
ArcGIS Online (AGOL) is a cloud-based GIS product, from Esri, that allows users to easily and quickly produce interactive web maps and apps that can be shared with other State users or the general public.​​​​​​​​​​​

Maryland Geo Share
Maryland Geo Share is the second of Maryland's ArcGIS Online Organizations. This resource is an online collection of data, maps, apps, tools, and geographic knowledge, built to maintain a strong relationship between Local, Regional, Universities and State GIS. It also offers access to groups committed to sharing data and information during emergencies and steady state to help Maryland be a more resilient, prepared, and responsive state.​​​​​​​​​​​
